Getting started

In just a few minutes, your workshop becomes a visual library.

1. Install PandaFile

Download PandaFile for Windows from the Download page, then run the installer. The app runs entirely on your machine: your files never leave your computer.

2. Add a folder

On first launch, add one or more watched folders (your projects, your downloads, your cut-file library…). PandaFile never moves or copies your files: it only builds an index and previews.

3. Let the indexing run

Indexing runs in the background: previews, dimensions, entity counts, formats. You can keep working while it does.

4. Preview and find

  • Browse the library as thumbnails (Line/Fill mode for DXF files).
  • Use search (Ctrl + F) and tags/collections to filter.
  • The right-hand panel shows the details of the selected file.

5. Open with your software

Double-click to open, or use “Open with” to send the file to LightBurn, Illustrator, your 3D slicer, and more.
