The principle: offline first

PandaFile is desktop software that runs 100% offline. Your files and their previews stay on your machine: they are never sent to or stored on our servers.

Data we process

We only process what is strictly necessary to sell and manage your licence:

  • Email address (customer account, licence key delivery, support).
  • Licence key and order details (order ID, product).
  • Technical fingerprint of the activated device (to enforce the 3-device limit).

Purposes and legal basis

  • Performance of the contract: delivering and managing your licence.
  • Legal obligation: invoicing.
  • Legitimate interest: customer support and prevention of licence fraud.

Processors

We rely on service providers that process certain data on our behalf:

  • Lemon Squeezy — payment, invoicing, VAT (Merchant of Record).
  • Supabase — database and customer account authentication.
  • Resend — email delivery (licence key, support).
  • Vercel — website hosting.

Retention period

Account and licence data are kept for as long as your licence is active, then archived in accordance with legal obligations (notably accounting) before being deleted.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data. To exercise these rights, contact us via our contact form. You may also lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL).
